What we do

We publish a monthly newsletter October through May to share topics of interest and reports of activity of individual Martin colonies

Attend community events offering information about Purple Martins, displays  of housing and equipment, answering questions and encouraging the conservation and support of Purple Martins and their habitat.

Provide information in the local community
offering lectures and slideshows to various groups in the community

Hold monthly meetings
October through May for lunch, sharing the latest news of our colonies and discussing various topics of interest to Purple Martin enthusiasts

Join us for one of our meetings!

The club has developed and supported
a Demonstration Purple Martin Housing site on the grounds of the Collier County Extension Center for over 15 years, providing valuable information to area Purple Martin landlords.  With increased development, insect control programs have decreased the available food source in the immediate area.  Unfortunately, in recent years this program has been greatly reduced and most of the housing has been moved to other sites.
